Yealink setup guide – getting started
The Yealink W73P setup involves connecting the base station to power and network, charging the handset, and registering handsets to the base station.
Step 1: Unbox and Prepare
Ensure you have the W70B base station, W73H handset, power adapter, Ethernet cable, battery, and charging cradle. Place the base station near your router or network switch and the charging cradle in a convenient location for calls.
Step 2: Connect the Base Station
- Power Connection: Insert the included power adapter into the power port on the base station and plug the other end into a power outlet.
- Network Connection: Use an ethernet cable to connect the base station to one of the yellow LAN ports on your router.
Step 3: Charge the Handset
- Insert the battery into the handset, ensuring the golden pins align.
- Place the handset in the charging cradle, which should be plugged into a power outlet.
Step 4: Register Handsets
- Single Handset: The handset is usually pre-registered.
- Additional Handsets: put the base station into registration mode by long-pressing the registration button until the LED flashes.
- On the handset, go to OK > Settings > Registration > Register Handset, select the base, enter the base PIN (default 0000), and press Done
Step 5: Optional Setup
- Attach the belt clip to the handset if needed.
- Mount the charging cradle on the wall if desired (36mm apart for screws).
