James Cleave appointed as Retailer Director to the MOSL Board

We’re delighted to announce that our Chief Financial Officer, James Cleave, has been appointed as a Retailer Director to the MOSL Board. James joins the Board alongside Jo Dow, Chief Executive Officer at Business Stream, and is starting his three-year term from 1 September 2026.

Having spent the past four years as a member of the MOSL Strategic Panel, where he has also chaired the Water Efficiency subgroup, helping to shape discussions around the future of the market and the role of water efficiency, this appointment recognised James’s extensive experience within the business water retail market.

James said:

“I’m delighted to join the MOSL Board. A well-run market is what allows retailers and wholesalers to deliver for customers, and I’m looking forward to bringing my experience of the market to MOSL’s strategic priorities.”

About MOSL

MOSL (Market Operator Services Limited) is the market operator for the non-household water retail maret in England. They opened in 2017 and enable business customers to choose who supplies their wastewater and retail water services.

Their responsibilities lie within the smooth day-to-day running of the water market, this includes enabling new companies to enter the market, ensuring customers can switch with ease and settlement to take place.

James’s appointment comes at an important time for the non-household water retail market, with MOSL finalising its first five-year strategy for 2027-2032.
