What is a temporary disconnection objection?

A temporary disconnection (TDISC) is a flag applied to the supply within the central market database used for switching customers, This flag status hinders us from processing customer transfers due to:

  • Outstanding balance
  • Long inoccupancy and status not removed when retailer is notified of new tenant*

*This is usually the most common reason for a TDISC status in the market as the customer usually has running water at the property.

What can be done?

To address a TDISC, the customer or their agent should contact the current retailer, who will then communicate with the wholesaler to resolve the issue. This process takes approximately 30 days. Repeatedly resubmitting objected sales related to a TDISC without resolution will cause the sale to expire from the portal. If you or your customer have requested TDISC removal, inform us, and we’ll monitor and notify you when it’s resolved.

So please reach out to us if you are unsure, we are always happy to help!
