Skips - restricted waste items
There are several items that are prohibited from being disposed of within a skip without prior consent. If you are intending to place any of the following items in your skip then please contact us in advance as they will require an alternative method of disposal.
Aerosols
Asbestos
Batteries
Clinical waste
Commercial paints and solvents (clean paint tins can be placed in skip with no residues)
Explosives
Fluorescent tubes
Food waste
Fridges/freezers
Gas cylinders and fire extinguishers
Hazardous waste
Large logs and tree stumps
Mattresses
Oil, petrol, diesel and liquids
Plasterboard/gypsum
POPs (pre 2019 upholstered domestic furniture)
TV and monitors
Tyres
