Update: Scottish rateable value charges
Following the non-domestic rates revaluation in Scotland which took effect from 1st April 2023, the charges applicable to your supply may have changed.
The rateable values charged to your supply may have been amended to reflect current market conditions. If you are impacted by this change, the rateable value charged to your account will have been updated to reflect the new rates set by the Scottish Government.
There is nothing you need to do as your account will be automatically updated and the charges backdated to the effective date (1st April 2023).
An adjustment will be added to your account which can be identified on your invoice by the message ‘Field Rateable Value change’.
The adjustment on your invoice will contain the actual rate change applicable to your supply, showing what the rate was and what it is changing to, such as ‘Field Rateable Value change from 48800 to 72100’.
You can find out the rateable value for your non-domestic property at the Scottish Assessors website here.
